Today I watered my moms plants and I absolutely loved it! I never thought something could be so peaceful and relaxing. I guess that just means I am getting old. When I was little it was like pulling teeth for my mom to get me to help outside. Now I cannot wait to have my own garden.
The dogs love my mom - they clearly follow her everywhere.
Other than that I did not do much today. I realized that it can be so sad when people change. Sometimes it is good, sometimes it is bad, and sometimes it is just change. Had coffee with a friend today at Starbucks, then went to Fred Meyers to buy my brother a birthday card. 18! I got him a card intended for a 5 year old and we thought it was pretty funny. On Father's day I my brother got my dad a card that said
"To the #1 Step Dad". My parents didn't think it was funny for some reason - they clearly do not share our sense of humor. Anyway, I am off to hang out with my family.

Okay, I totally share your sense of humor here. My brother once got my mother a card clearly intended for a man and we thought it was so funny. Last year he got her a card from the Mahogany selection. google it if you don't know what it means... seriously funny.
